Forbidden City

The turrets on the corners of the Forbidden City, also known as Corner Towers, are iconic features of the palace complex, known for their unique shape and architectural style. These towers are located at each of the four corners of the rectangular Forbidden City and served as both defensive structures and beautiful architectural elements.They are characterized by their intricate designs, multiple eaves, and ornate roofing, showcasing traditional Chinese architectural styles.

Gubei Water Town

Gubei Water Town, located near the famous Simatai Great Wall, is a picturesque town that brings together ancient Chinese architecture, serene waterways, and beautiful landscapes. Gubei Water Town is modeled after ancient Jiangnan-style water towns, featuring stone-paved streets, old-style wooden bridges, and scenic canals. The Summer Palace

The Summe Palace in Beijing.
The Hall of Benevolence and Longevity (Renshoudian) is the main place where the emperors attend to state affairs. During the reighn of Emperor Guangxu, it is where Empress Dowager Cixi and Emperor Guangxu handled state affairs together.
The Hall of Dispelling Clouds (Paiyundian) is where  Empress Dowager Cixi used to receive congratulations and tributes and host ceremonies for her birthdays.
The Hall of Jade Ripples (Yulantang) was the bedroom for Emperor Guangxu who was held in confinement by Empress Dowager Cixi in 1898 and ever since.

Palace Museum

The Palace Museum is a national museum housed in the Forbidden City at the core of Beijing. It was established in 1925 after the last Emperor of China was evicted from his palace, and opened its doors to the public. Today, there are over a million rare and valuable works of art in the permanent collection of the Palace Museum, including paintings, ceramics, seals, steles, sculptures, inscribed wares, bronze wares, enamel objects, etc. The collections of the Palace Museum are based on the Qing imperial collection.

The Temple of Heaven

Qiniandian, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest, the main building in the Temple of Heaven, was built for the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to pray to Heaven on the first month of spring for good harvest. Based on a three-layer 6-meter-high round platform of white marble, the hall stands 38 metres in height with a perimeter of 32 meters. Inside, the hall is supported by 28 huge phoebe-wood pillars representing seasons, months and hours.

The Marble Boat

The Marble Boat, also known as the Boat of Purity and Ease (Qing Yan Fǎng) is a lakeside pavilion on the grounds of the Summer Palace in Beijing, China.
The Summer Palace (Gardens of Nurtured Harmony) is a palace in Beijing, China mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and the Kunming Lake. It covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometers, three quarters of which is water. UNESCO included the Summer Palace on its World Heritage List in 1998. It declared the Summer Palace "a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design". The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value." It is a popular tourist destination but also serves as a recreational park.

Zhonghuamen

Zhonghuamen (Gate of Chinese) during the early years of Republic of China.
Standing in the center of today's Tian'anmen Square, it was one of three middle gates of Imperial City during the Ming and Qing dynasties and called Daming (Great Ming) and Daqing (Great Qing) respectively. After the Revolution of 1911, it was renamed Zhonghuamen. The gate was demolished.

The Palace is part of The Forbidden City in Beijing. The Forbidden City was declared a World Heritage Site in 1987 and is listed by UNESCO as the largest collection of preserved ancient wooden structures in the world.

The Forbidden City

The forbidden city in Beijing! Unfortunately a homemade and not very clear card but when I google for other images, it looks like an amazing place! The Forbidden City is the best preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. The Forbidden City, situated in the very heart of Beijing, was home to 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It covers an area of about 72 hectares and consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms.
It now houses the Palace Museum and is listed as World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO since 1987.
